Meet The Team

The Keito Events’ team of event managers and conference organisers can quickly expand or contract depending on the number and nature of events we are currently working on. But our key team members are as follows:

Kate Abraham

Director, Event Manager and Conference Organiser

KateKate Abraham established Keito Events after an extensive career in the PR, marketing and event industry in Adelaide.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, Kate joined PR firm Michels Warren and soon became a Senior Consultant and Event Manager. She then managed events and PR at Minter Ellison SA before establishing the PR and Events department at Adelaide-based global business school – the Australian Institute of Business.

In 2008, Keito Events was founded and has grown to become one of Adelaide’s most sought after event management specialists and
conference organisers, with the company now managing a wide range of high profile events for clients in diverse industries.

Kate is also a member of the Rundle Mall Management Authority Board, contributing ideas, particularly from an events perspective, to the ongoing revitalisation of Rundle Mall.

Successfully managing food and wine festivals for more than 20,000 people and coordinating the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association Awards at the Adelaide Convention Centre are among Kate’s many event achievements.

Kate’s flair, ‘taste’, attention to detail, extensive local event knowledge and creativity has made her the event planner of choice for many corporate, Government and non-profit organisations.

Candice Sferco

Event Manager and Conference Organiser

CandiceCandice Sferco has diverse experience in professional conference and event management around Australia and has been working in the industry for more than five years.

She has managed conferences for a range of different industries covering economics, education, industrial relations, insurance, medical, quarrying/mining, to name a few, and has experience working with associations, government and corporate clients.

Having managed conferences attracting up to 2000 delegates, she is well equipped to handle both small and large-scale event projects.

Her experience includes managing conferences in Adelaide, Melbourne, NSW and the Gold Coast.

As well as managing conferences, her role at Keito Events involves sees her managing cocktail events, dinners, staff briefing days and festivals, to name a few.

Candice has completed an Advanced Diploma in International Event Management.

Sophie Calderbank

Event Co-ordinator

SophieSophie Calderbank brings a varied background to Keito Events, enabling her to provide fresh perspectives to event projects.

With a keen interest in the Arts, Sophie has been involved as both an organiser and a performer in festivals, concerts and exhibitions, including the Adelaide Fringe Festival, WOMADelaide, the Port Fairy Folk Festival and the Tunnels.

Through her work with Keito Events, Sophie’s experience extends to the planning and coordination of events such as awards nights, street parties, open days, opening ceremonies and family days.

Sophie’s strengths lie in her creativity and sense of style and she is adept at formulating new concepts and theming for events.

Sophie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and a Diploma of Languages in Spanish.
